Seattle stunner: Giants stymie Wilson, Seahawks in 17-12 win
New York Giants defensive end Leonard Williams (99) celebrates with linebacker Tae Crowder (48) after Williams sacked Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson (not shown) during the second half of an NFL football game, Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, in Seattle. A fourth-and-18 desperation throw by Wilson was batted down, and the Giants were left to celebrate. “I’m really surprised that this is how we looked against this game plan that they had,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. SEATTLE’S WEIRD SCORESNot surprisingly, Seattle was involved in a game that had a strange score at some point. Big days from Wilson, Metcalf lead Seahawks past 49ers 37-27

Wilson found rookie DeeJay Dallas on a 2-yard TD pass after San Francisco went three-and-out to open the second half for a 20-7 lead. The momentum from two straight wins for San Francisco (4-4) evaporated in a hurry as more injuries continued to pile up. On Metcalf’s second TD, Moseley was flagged for interference but couldn’t keep Metcalf’s size and strength from still making the catch. San Francisco played without starters Deebo Samuel, Jeff Wilson Jr., Kwon Alexander and safety Jaquiski Tartt.
