Thankfully, filters captured most of the chromium and a ‘no contact’ advisory was lifted after river testing found minimal detections. On Aug. 9, EGLE’s water resources division sent Tribar a six-page violation notice following the chromium spill, which Tribar initially reported to the state via a pollution alert hotline on Monday, Aug. 1. Remnants settled out in Wixom wastewater biosolids.

Jonker also sentenced Brown to three years of supervised release after his incarceration and ordered him to pay restitution totaling $1.26 million. “Health care fraud raises costs on consumers, hurts businesses, and can subject persons to unnecessary treatment,” U.S. Attorney Mark Totten said in a statement.
