It wasn’t enough on a night when Maryland grabbed 15 offensive rebounds and committed just six turnovers to Michigan’s 12. Dickinson hit a 3 to keep the Wolverines alive, but they still trailed by eight with 90 seconds left. Dickinson’s putback cut the deficit to four with 40 seconds left. He made both to cut the margin to four with five seconds left; two more free throws from Young prevented a last-second miracle.
