DETROIT – Detroit police chief James Craig held a news conference at 2 p.m. on Wednesday to provide an update on the city’s response to recent protests against police brutality in the name of George Floyd. Chief Craig was joined by Deputy Chief Todd Bettison; Deputy Chief Elaine Bryant; Ray Winans, CEO of Keeping Them Alive and other members of the community. Protestors took to the streets of Downtown Detroit for a fifth consecutive day on Tuesday to protest police brutality and racial injustice.
