A Michigan man who defrauded two non-profits out of more than $750,000 while serving in top leadership roles, driving a historic theatre into bankruptcy, has been sentenced.

Olympic speed skater Richard “Terry” McDermott, who earned the nickname “The Essexville Rocket” and won a gold medal during the 1964 Olympics, died this weekend at the age of 82.
