Farm to Table dishes, a stroll through history part of fundraiser for Jackson’s Ella Sharp Museum
JACKSON, MI -- Jackson’s Ella Sharp Museum is hosting its first-ever Farm to Table event to raise money for the museum’s programming, exhibits and events. The event, from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, offers a taste of locally grown products, like wine, Ella Beer, cheese, meats, bread and produce, and a chance to meet the people behind the food. Patrons will stroll up and down the museum’s historic Farm Lane, which is part of Ella Merriman-Sharp’s estate, which was willed to the city of Jackson in 1912 to become a park and museum. Tales of Ella and John Sharp’s farm, as well as dishes inspired by their recipes are also being offered.
