Cam Johnson and Cameron Payne both scored 19 points to lead the Phoenix Suns to their franchise-record 18th win in a row, beating the Detroit Pistons 114-103.

The Suns have won six of their past seven games, while the Hawks have dropped four of five. Ayton finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Chris Paul had 12 points and eight assists. AdThe Hawks trailed by 12 points at halftime, but cut the Suns' advantage to 89-85 by the end of the third quarter.

Pistons fall to three-game skid on the road in Phoenix

PHOENIX (AP) — Devin Booker scored 23 points, Chris Paul added 20 points and nine assists, and the Phoenix Suns rolled to a 109-92 win over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night. Phoenix controlled most the game and had an 87-68 lead by the end of the third quarter. The Suns led 27-24 after one quarter, holding the Pistons to 33% shooting, including 1 of 9 from 3-point range. Phoenix pushed ahead by 17 points by midway through the second quarter before settling for a 57-44 halftime lead. It’ll be the first time fans will be allowed at Phoenix Suns Arena this season.

Luka Doncic cut the Suns' lead to three with a dunk but after a Booker miss, Bridges grabbed the offensive rebound and Phoenix closed out the victory. Suns: Forward Dario Saric, who missed all four of the Suns preseason games, sat out the opener with a sore right quad ... In 39 games last season with the Suns, Kaminsky averaged 9.7 points and 4.5 rebounds.
