The new trio of hitting coaches are replacing hitting coach Scott Coolbaugh, who was not renewed, and Mike Hessman, who was reassigned within the organization. Before joining the Hawkeyes, Lund was a volunteer hitting coach for the Northern Iowa softball team in 2018.
