Packers sign former Pro Bowl LB Jaylon Smith after release from Cowboys
The Packers are reinforcing their defense. According to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero and multiple other reports, former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith has agreed to terms with Green Bay. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed but it is a one-year deal, according to Pelissero. Smith, drafted in second round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame, was once considered the rising star of the Dallas defense. His arrival in the NFC North will certainly provide a lift to a Packers defense that may have just lost its best defensive player, cornerback Jaire Alexander, for the season.mlive.com
Dalton returns to Cincy, leads Cowboys over Bengals 30-7

The Bengals fumbled the ball away on their first three drives, one fumble returned for a touchdown, and leading to 17 first-half points by the Cowboys (4-9). Dalton was serviceable, going 16 for 23 for 185 yards, as the Cowboys stayed in contention in the weak NFC East. Dalton signed with the Cowboys as a backup, and stepped in when Dak Prescott went down.

NFLPA backs three startups at Pitch Day at the Super Bowl, in bid to help women and minority-led businesses
Nine companies pitched their products to three sets of panelists that included former and current NFL players for the opportunity to receive marketing funds, mentorship, and obtain NFLPA licensing rights. Steve Scebelo, interim president of NFL Players, the licensing and marketing arm of the NFLPA, said assisting women and minorities has been a goal of the NFLPA since Pitch Day began in 2016. Winners will receive $10,000 in marketing money, allowing them the option of selecting NFL players to help endorse their product. Whoop, a Boston-based company that specializes in discreet wearable items like a wristband to assist athletes in monitoring their performance, participated in a Pitch Day in 2016. "Until we can win a football game, I don’t care what kind of contention we’re in," Jones said. The Cowboys (6—7) have never made the playoffs in a season with two losing streaks of at least three games.
