The oldest bridge in Paris has begun vanishing as JR — the artist known as the “French Banksy” — began inflating a giant “cave” over the Pont Neuf.

French artist JR, popular for his large-scale projects from photographs to graffiti and street art, wants Parisians to do something unusual: stop for an immersive experience on the city’s oldest bridge, Pont Neuf.

The city of Paris is unveiling a monumental artwork built around an actual monument: the Arc de Triomphe completely wrapped in silver and blue fabric.

Paris’ iconic Arc de Triomphe is set to be wrapped in silver and blue recyclable polypropylene fabric next month as part of a posthumous art installation designed by artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude.
