NFL Combine: Which running back ran fastest on Friday?

At the previous NFL Scouting Combine in 2020, only one running back ran the 40-yard dash in 4.4 or fewer seconds – Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor, who led the NFL in rushing yards with the Indianapolis Colts in the 2021 season. Rutgers’ Isiah Pacheco and South Dakota State’s Pierre Strong tied for the fastest running back at the 2022 combine with 40 times of 4.37 seconds. Alabama running back Brian Robinson Jr., who prepped at Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa, ran the 40 in 4.53 seconds. Vertical jump: The 40-inch jump by Hall topped the running backs at this station. Two more running backs cleared 10-6 – Harris and Hall.
