For Jim Gaffigan, it was just another day at the office. The comedian, who has numerous Netflix specials, performed his first of two sold-out shows at Detroit’s Fox Theatre on Saturday, November 19. Festival organizers announced Thursday that it is partnering with Traverse City-based Moomer’s Ice Cream to create Cherry Traffic Jam, a hard-packed ice cream flavor developed specifically for the annual summer celebration of all things cherries. One of the top comedians in the country will perform multiple stand-up shows all over Michigan in 2022. Jim Gaffigan will bring his “The Fun Tour” to Traverse City, Grand Rapids and Detroit. His first Michigan stop will be at the National Cherry Festival on Wednesday, July 6. Gaffigan will also star in the Sci-Fi dramedy, “Linoleum,” which will premiere at SXSW this year. He will also star as Mr. Smee in Disney’s “Peter Pan and Wendy,” opposite Jude Law and Yara Shahidi.
