Jim Gaffigan pokes fun at COVID, funerals and plane crashes at sold-out Detroit show

For Jim Gaffigan, it was just another day at the office. The comedian, who has numerous Netflix specials, performed his first of two sold-out shows at Detroit’s Fox Theatre on Saturday, November 19. There was no profanity, no sexual humor and no political jokes from the comedian known for many memorable jokes about food like Hot Pockets. Although, he did have the audience in stiches making light at, of all things, irritable bowel syndrome. After somehow making negative topics like the COVID pandemic, plane crashes and funerals funny, Gaffigan got a little more personal, touching upon his family.
