Bell’s Eccentric Café announces 2021 concert schedule after year without live music
KALAMAZOO, MI — After a year of canceled live music performances across the country, fans and musicians are being reunited at concerts as restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic begin to loosen. More announcements are expected in the future, Bell’s Brewery spokesman Josh Smith said. Bell’s provides a guide for concertgoers about what is allowed and what isn’t. Bell’s said in the announcement Thursday it has been 520 days the company has hosted live entertainment at the pub. In June 2020, the 2020 season of the concert series was canceled amid the ongoing conavirus pandemic.

Following up on last year’s popular Black Hearted IPA, it was announced today Bell’s Brewery is releasing an IPL beer called Cold Hearted, and it’s only available in the Kalamazoo General Store beginning Wednesday. “It’s recognizing there are those still feeling the effects of a relationship gone sour for whatever reason,” said Larry Bell, founder and president of Bell’s Brewery, Inc. “No matter what you did you were never going to be good enough for ‘our little girl’ or ‘darling son.’”The name “Cold Hearted” just stuck, he said. Cold Hearted has an ABV of 7%.

Coming off big victory, Pistons visit Boston
– The Detroit Pistons will be coming off their biggest win of the season when they invade Boston on Wednesday night in a matchup of two teams inching toward the .500 mark. The Pistons, who opened 6-10, won for the sixth time in their last 10 games with a victory Monday at Eastern Conference-leading Indiana, which had been unbeaten at home. Boston has won two straight, five of seven and eight of 12 after a 101-97 victory over Minnesota on Monday. Boston had a season-high 25 turnovers and scored a season-low 77 points in a 10-point loss at Detroit on Nov. 3. Boston F Jeff Green is averaging 21.8 points in his team's last six losses and just 13 points in the last five wins.
