DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson was feeling fine on Saturday morning, about 12 hours after getting beaned by Kansas City Royals pitcher Brad Keller. Tests for a concussion were negative and Torkelson said he’ll be ready to play on Saturday, although manager A.J. “It rang my bell a little bit, but it was just a precaution to take me out,” Torkelson said. Torkelson said he’s sure Keller didn’t hit him intentionally. He said he didn’t wear that kind of helmet in college but started wearing the extended protection in pro ball.
