Former NASCAR driver among rescuers who helped at scene of fiery head-on crash that killed 2
A wrong-way driver had traveled at least six miles on Route 322 against opposing traffic before hitting the truck and camper head-on, according to witnesses. Kasey Kahne, sprint car driver, posed with firefighters after the three crash patients were taken to hospitals. Todd Taylor, father of five, formerly volunteered for the Lewistown Fire Company and works as a truck driver. The driver of the truck pulling the camper appeared dead, Sheaffer said, and he was relaying as much to the dispatchers. A woman rescuer asked the driver if anyone was in the camper and the driver said no, then started calling his wife’s name.mlive.com
