Hot dogs on parade? The Kalamazoo Hot Dog walk returns in May
KALAMAZOO, MI — It all began in 2010 when three friends got together to see how many hot dogs they could manage to eat in a single day. The “Dogfathers,” Kevin King, Scott Swope and Chris Voss, had so much fun they decided to bring more people along the following year and an event, the Kalamazoo Hot Dog Walk, was born. After two years of pandemic pivoting, the walk returns as an in-person event on Saturday, May 27. Since that partnership with Loaves & Fishes began, the DogFathers have helped to provide over 75,000 meals to the Kalamazoo community, a news release announcing this year’s walk states. All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt and all proceeds benefit Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes.
