Godwin Heights shooting guard Jakhary Towns has landed on Morehouse College’s radar. “This offer means the world to me because I dedicate myself to this sport and for Morehouse to put trust in me to be a next level player means a lot,” Towns said in a statement. Godwin was eliminated in the first round of the district tournament by South Christian. Towns also has received offers from Aquinas College and Cornerstone University. Oprah donates $13 million to Morehouse College
ATLANTA - Oprah Winfrey now has the largest endowment ever at Morehouse College in Atlanta after donating $13 million, according to a news release from the school. Winfrey visited the all men's historically black college Monday for the 30th anniversary of the Oprah Winfrey Scholars Program, the release said. Monday's donation of $13 million pushed her total investment to $25 million.
