Crime Stoppers event to feature resources for crime victims, their families
FLINT, MI – An upcoming event on Flint’s northside aims to provide resources to families and loved ones of people lost to crime, as well as the victims themselves. A big reason for Lopez’s involvement in the resource fair comes from personal experience. We didn’t have a victim advocate, or we didn’t know any resources. Not hosting the event and making the resources available to the community may have made resource accessibility difficult, Lopez said. “That is another reason why we started this crime victims resource fair, is because we want to help all the victims of all different types of crimes,” Lopez said.mlive.com
