ANN ARBOR, MI - I’m 32 and have lived more than half my life in Ann Arbor. That is still not enough time to hit every single restaurant I want to visit in the city (or Washtenaw County, for that matter). Whether it’s the seafood at Pacific Rim or the burger at Casey’s Tavern, there are dishes I have yet to taste, places I have yet to explore. Restaurant Week is the perfect time to knock some of those bucket list establishments off your list.

With some dishes inspired by Japanese flavors, and others from Korea, Pacific Rim in Ann Arbor gives you a taste of its namesake. Michelle Oliver takes us there to Dine in the D.

Dr. Scott Gottlieb on Monday lamented the persistent spread of the coronavirus in the U.S., suggesting the nation's response pales in comparison to other places around the world. Having a raging epidemic is not inevitable," Gottlieb said on "Squawk Box," referring to countries such as China, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea and Australia. Gottlieb and numerous public health experts have warned the U.S. could experience a significant rise of coronavirus cases in the fall and winter, as colder weather brings more people indoors.
