Detroit's MC5 tapped for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for fifth nomination
DETROIT - Detroit rock band MC5 has secured its fifth nomination into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band, alongside the fellow up-and-coming metro Detroit rock band The Stooges, was among the first rock bands to be signed to Elektra Records. The band responded with a full-page advertisement in Fifth Estate, stating: "Stick Alive with the MC5, and F*ck Hudson's!" The 35th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place May 2, 2020, at the Public Auditorium in Cleveland.
