It’s the start of the 2022-23 college basketball season, and just like years past, the Michigan Wolverines are entering the season ranked in the AP Top 25 at No. 22.

Michigan only had a couple of days of prep for its season opener, and it won’t be a gimme. Purdue Fort Wayne is the co-favorite in the Horizon League after sharing the regular-season title last season and posting a 21-12 record overall. Fort Wayne returns most of its roster from last season, including Horizon first-team selection Jarred Godfrey (38 percent from 3 last season).
