Former Hazel Park police detective gets probation, loses part of pension for stealing public funds
HAZEL PARK, MI – A former Hazel Park police detective who admitted to embezzling more than $68,000 in public funds has been sentenced. Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Rae Lee Chabot sentenced Sean Boucher to three years’ probation and seized a portion of his pension. The public asset forfeiture funds are used to support law enforcement operations through training, equipment and other resources.
