Ann Arbor ‘grocery store’ exhibit turns plastic into art
ANN ARBOR, MI -- A new Ann Arbor art exhibit is hoping to change the way you see your grocery store. The Plastic Bag Store, a traveling art installation and theatrical performance, is opening on Tuesday, Jan. 17. So she did, stuffing The Plastic Bag Store with tomatoes made from crumpled bags, bulk goods dispensers that dole out bottlecaps and handcrafted renditions of plastic seafood. She first debuted The Plastic Bag Store in Times Square in 2020 and has toured with the show since.
