Red Wings solve Vasilevskiy, surprise Lightning 4-3
Jakub Vrana scored his second goal of the game to snap a tie in the third period Tuesday and the Detroit Red Wings finally solved goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy, defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 and Amalie Arena. Vasilevskiy entered the game with a career record of 13-0-0 against the Red Wings. It was the Red Wings’ first game since Dylan Larkin’s season ended Monday following core muscle surgery and they didn’t struggle for offense like they did the previous two games (outscored 10-1). The Red Wings have split four games during a rugged six-game stretch that continues Thursday at Florida. The Red Wings scored the next three goals.
