Shohei Ohtani stole second to became the first player in team history with 40 homers and 20 steals in a season for the Angels, who won for only the second time in eight games. Garrett Richards (0-1), the sixth of nine Padres pitchers, was gone after giving up the hit to Betts. It was only his second start start since a two-hit shutout in a seven-inning complete game Sept. 13. Dodgers: INF Edwin Rios was left off the NLDS roster because of a groin issue.
