Burnham’s return to Meijer LPGA Classic brings up fond memories for former Spartan
With the Meijer LPGA Classic back after a year off due to the coronavirus, a former Michigan State golfer will get the chance to compete on a course that’s very familiar to her. This year’s tournament marks the third appearance for former Spartan standout golfer Sarah Burnham at Blythefield Country Club for the Meijer Classic. It brings back really good memories and I just love the course.”So when the tournament begins this week, Burnham will have the support of her Spartan family behind her. The Minnesota native moved to Howell last November because of her solid connection with Michigan State head coach, Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll. “It’s great because I can go back and use the facilities at Michigan State,” said Burnham, who is prepping for her third start in the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give.
