Eleven Michigan residents are facing federal charges for their alleged involvement in the U.S. Capitol riot after the arrest of two men who publicized their activities on Facebook. The investigation, which has relied heavily on tips and evidence posted to social media, resulted in 500 guilty pleas, according to the Associated Press. According to the FBI, Thurlow served in the U.S. Army from 1988 to 1991, including a six-month assignment in Saudi Arabia. Trevor Brown, a Novi man, was arrested for allegedly participating in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Brown was identified through social media posts and surveillance camera footage included in federal court documents.
