Popup at Flint Farmers’ Market to feature TikTok star The Golden Balance
FLINT, MI – Ahmad Alzahabi, otherwise known as The Golden Balance on TikTok, will be cooking in a special popup stall at the Flint Farmers’ Market later this month. Sponsored by the Flint Social Club and the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village, Alzahabi will have a stall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or while supplies last) on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the market, 300 1st St.Raised in Flint, Alzahabi recently won a cooking competition on Chopped on the Food Network. He rose to fame online when he started getting into nutrition and sharing the meals he would make on social media. Now, wielding more than 6 million TikTok followers, Alzahabi remains in mid-Michigan and works to make the kitchen a less intimidating place.
