Ongoing tribute to late Eagle Scout leads Ann Arbor Boy Scout drive for food, funds for 60K meals
ANN ARBOR, MI - A long-running food and donation drive organized by an Ann Arbor Boy Scout troop and the family of a late Eagle Scout returned to form with an in-person collection to provide 60,000 meals for people facing food insecurity. The 16th annual Tim Esch Scouting for Food Birthday Party hosted by Ann Arbor Boy Scout Troop 4 honors the legacy of Eagle Scout Tim Esch, who became an Eagle Scout with the troop at age 14. The year after Tim’s death, the Esch family and Troop 4 combined the annual food drive with a birthday party in his honor. “We are especially grateful to the Esches for their long-standing commitment to Food Gatherers in honor of their son,” Starman said.
