The Ole Miss defense, which allowed 535.7 yards and 40.3 points per game during the regular season, came through with one more stop to clinch the school's first bowl win since beating Oklahoma State in the 2016 Sugar Bowl. leaving Indiana with an opportunity to pull out its first bowl win in nearly 30 years. “We were definitely kind of bummed out about what happened with the New Year's Six bowl game, but we just kind of used that as fuel to the fire,” running back Stevie Scott III said. “It has been 29 years since we last won a bowl game,” quarterback Jack Tuttle said. Retired officer, ex-college athlete among victims of unrest

Monroe County honors Allens for saving fireworks show
A formal resolution was presented recognizing Tom and Mary Louise Allen family and Allen Chevrolet Cadillac. Allen Chevrolet Cadillac has been honored by Monroe County commissioners for stepping up to the plate with funding for the annual fireworks show July 3 at Sterling State Park. Tuesday night, the county board approved 9-0 a resolution commending the dealership and the Tom and Mary Louise Allen family for donating $14,000 to make the Allen Chevrolet Cadillac Fireworks Festival happen. This was a huge demonstration of commitment by a local business to our community, the chairman said.
