Tool releases first album in 13 years
FreeImages.com/paolo ferla(CNN) - It's been 13 long years for fans of the American rock band Tool but finally, the wait for new music is over. 'Fear Inoculum,' Tool's first album since 2006's '10,000 Days,' was released on streaming platforms at midnight, and fans can listen on Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal. "We all have our own things going on lives, families, other projects, other interests so it's ready when it's ready. I think that's what we all wanted." As if that's not enough, Tool also announced a series of North American tour dates this fall.
After years of resisting, Tool finally releases their music to digital
FreeImages.com/paolo ferla(CNN) - After resisting the streaming trend for years, Tool is finally caving in and releasing their entire catalog for digital distribution. Formed in 1990, much of Tool's music can only be found on CD, vinyl and cassette tape. People have called on the band to go digital for years, so this is welcome news for fans of the alt-metal band. It was only a matter of time before Tool finally gave in and went digital. In recent years, music giants such as The Beatles, Radiohead and Prince embraced streaming.
