Tigers trade minor-league outfielder to Dodgers
DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have sent Trayce Thompson back to the West coast. The 31-year-old outfielder for Triple-A Toledo was sent to the Los Angeles Dodgers for cash considerations on Monday. Thompson spent only one month in the Tigers system after signing a minor-league deal on May 19. Thompson came up in the Chicago White Sox system but was traded to the Dodgers in 2015 and spent a couple of seasons there. In parts of six big-league seasons, Thompson has hit .205 with a .677 OPS (83 OPS+) in 640 plate appearances.
