Southbound M-5 is back open to traffic between Maple Road and 12 Mile Road.
Crews will now start work on the same stretch of northbound M-5. Drivers can expect this portion of the road to be closed for at least a week starting Monday, May 15, 2017.
During the northbound M-5 construction the westbound M-5 ramp to northbound M-5 will be closed. Moreover, the northbound I-275 ramp to northbound M-5 will be closed.
The Michigan Department of Transportation said all mile roads crossing northbound M-5 will have at least one lane open through the intersections crossing M-5. Finally, the eastbound and westbound I-96 ramps to northbound M-5 will be open to 12 Mile Road, where traffic must exit.
