Why you could run into traffic delays today on I-94 and I-75

Painting crews begin work on Monday, April 22

(WDIV)

Painting crews will begin restriping faded pavement markings on I-75 and I-94 on Monday, April 22.

Painting crews will have mobile convoys as the restripe faded pavement markings including the outside lines and skip lines separating lanes.

The convoys will be made up of three large trucks that will travel from 8 mph to 12 mph.

Drivers are encouraged to be aware of any large orange trucks with flashing lights and wet paint signs.

Drivers should not cut between trucks because the convoys are spraying paint.

The paint dries quickly, but drivers can get paint on their vehicles if they’re not careful.
