County plans to spend about $30 million on improving roads this season

DETROIT – With 20 capital improvement projects and 38 maintenance projects, Wayne County plans to spend about $30 million on improving its roads during this year's construction season. 

Some of the notable projects include concrete reconstruction of Sibley Road between I-275 and Wahrman in Huron Township, resurfacing about three miles of Outer Drive in Detroit and the resurfacing of Farmington Road between Seven Mile Road and Eight Mile Road in Livonia.

Moreover, the infamous potholed stretch of Canton Center Road between Warren and Ford roads will undergo preventative concrete patching. That work is scheduled for August.
