Donate gently used instruments to Detroit Harmony, support local students' music dreams

Local 4, in partnership with Detroit Harmony, is hosting the Go 4 It event to encourage donations of musical instruments for Detroit students. Detroit Harmony refurbishes these instruments, providing them to students who lack resources for music education. The program, working with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, has significantly impacted students like Booster Hammond, who now has his own bass and receives instruction from renowned artists. The initiative aims to "play it forward" by collecting new and gently used instruments throughout October to enhance music accessibility citywide.
