Detroit Public Library loses more than $400K after an elaborate scam

The Detroit Public Library system allegedly had thousands of dollars stolen from them through a wire fraud scam, as it is alleged that one person used a DPL email address requesting to transfer money. It was a pretty elaborate scheme, as nearly $280,000 have been recovered. But more than $400,000 of taxpayer money is gone.
