Detroit launches ‘Easy-Pay’ plan for overdue water bills

The City of Detroit has introduced the “Easy-Pay” plan for residents and businesses behind on their water bills, requiring only a $10 down payment for enrollment. With 200 people already enrolled, the city aims to have 30,000 participants in the future. This initiative is part of broader efforts to address water affordability issues, complementing the existing income-based “Lifeline Plan.”
