Electrical fire at Detroit senior complex leaves 1 dead

An electrical fire at the Kamper Stevens Apartments in Downtown Detroit on August 12 resulted in one death and two injuries. The fire, originating in the 10th-floor stairwell, claimed the life of an 86-year-old woman found unresponsive in the 14th-floor stairwell during evacuation efforts.
