Detroit industrial fire injures firefighter, raises air concerns
A massive industrial fire broke out early Monday morning at the Aevitas Specialty Services facility on Detroit's east side, resulting in one firefighter being injured. The fire, which began around 2:30 a.m., was captured by Sky Four as crews battled the blaze and a large cloud of smoke filled the sky. All 20 employees at the facility, which recycles oil and treats waste, have been accounted for and are safe. The fire raised concerns about air quality due to the mix of oil and water in the streets, and efforts are ongoing to clean up and monitor the air.
