Lions football is starting in a month. The first preseason game is against the Chargers on July 31. Now, we're used to seeing the Lions take the field at Ford Field or maybe the Pontiac Silverdome if you want to a game before 2001. But more than 90 years ago, they actually weren't Lions at all. They were actually the Portsmouth Spartans and played in Ohio.
