Pellet or BB gun used in early morning shooting at Coleman A. Young Municipal Center
At least seven windows of the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center in Detroit were damaged in an early morning incident where shots were fired from a gray sedan. The building, which houses both the Detroit City and Wayne County Governments, was targeted around 5 a.m. with what authorities suspect was a pellet or BB gun, as there were no reports of gunfire or 911 calls. No injuries occurred, and the damage was discovered by cleaning crews. First Assistant Police Chief Charles Fitzgerald condemned the act as reckless and vowed to hold the perpetrators accountable.
