Detroit community calls for peace after 6-year-old boy killed by stray bullet

Detroit community members held a rally on the city’s east side to mourn the tragic death of 6-year-old Rylee Love, who was killed by a stray bullet near his home. The event at a local church, attended by city leaders including Police Chief Todd Bettison, featured donations for Rylee’s family, a procession, and a balloon release. Leaders called for an end to the violence affecting Detroit's children, with Chief Bettison advocating for increased funding for violence prevention and promising justice for Rylee's death.
