Detroit Health Department to host free annual Block Party offering services

The Detroit Health Department will host its fourth annual Block Party themed "Wellness on the Block" this Saturday, offering free health screenings, vaccines, and wellness resources to local families. The event aims to provide accessible healthcare services, including hearing and vision screenings, immunizations, and nutrition guidance, to Detroit residents as they prepare for the new school year. The Block Party will feature CDC-recommended vaccines and aims to make healthcare accessible to all Detroit residents, accepting all insurances. The event, starting with a Safe Sleep Walk-N-Rally at 11 a.m., will be held at 100 Mack Avenue from noon to 4 p.m. on September 6, 2025.
