‘I did it’: Nanny accused of killing child’s grandfather, chasing family into street naked

In Royal Oak, a nanny named Samantha Booth was charged with murder after allegedly killing David Ong, the grandfather of the child she was caring for. It happened October 24, when Ong went to check on his granddaughter at his daughter's request. Ong was found unresponsive with multiple stab wounds in the basement, while Booth, in a manic state, chased the child's uncle and the child with a screwdriver. Booth was arrested after a brief chase and charged with multiple felonies, including first-degree murder. She pleaded not guilty and is considered a danger to society, with her next court appearance set for November 7, 2025.
