‘It was meant to be’: Michigan family reclaims late father’s prized Trans Am after cancer loss

After losing beloved husband and father Mike Jeneary to cancer, the Jeneary family found comfort in reclaiming his cherished 1978 Pontiac Trans Am, which had been sold a decade earlier. Mike’s son Aaron tracked down the original car in Massachusetts through a social media post, and the owner, moved by their story, agreed to return it. The family made a memorable Father’s Day road trip to bring the car home, where it now serves as a lasting legacy and symbol of hope. Aaron plans to keep the Trans Am in the family for generations.
