Home invasion on Detroit's east side leaves 1 dead, another hospitalized

A violent home invasion took place on Thursday morning at an apartment on Houston-Whittier Street, where a male suspect kicked in a door and opened fire. One man was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman was hospitalized, with her condition yet to be determined. Police currently have no leads on the shooter and are seeking information from the public.
