1 in custody after thieves ransack party store on Detroit’s east side

A smash-and-grab burglary occurred at Little Mike Express on Detroit’s east side, where four to five thieves used sledgehammers to break through security shutters and doors. They stole cash, liquor, and lottery tickets, causing significant damage to the store. One suspect is in custody as the Detroit Police Department's 9th Precinct investigates and works on a warrant.
