Dodge, Ford, Hyundai win top honors at 2026 North American car, truck, utility awards

The 2026 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year awards were announced at the Detroit Auto Show, with Dodge, Ford, and Hyundai winning the top honors. The awards, determined by a panel of 50 automotive journalists from the U.S. and Canada, require a vehicle to be all new or substantially redesigned to qualify. This year’s winners are the 2025 Dodge Charger for Car of the Year, the 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo for Truck of the Year, and the 2025 Hyundai Palisade for Utility Vehicle of the Year.
