Metro Detroit snowplow driver explains how cleanup works

The snow is tapering off, but for plow crews, the work is ramping up. Local 4 rode along with Cortez Ryans, owner of Quick Response Snow Removal Services, as he worked overnight routes across Metro Detroit. Ryans said his team had about 50 stops to clear, including Frontier International Academy in Hamtramck. Because he does not work directly for a city, Ryans said he prioritizes contracted properties first. After that, he takes what he calls “freelance” calls.
